Firing Kilns(Heating Systems)

The Roller Hearth Kiln is a continuous fast firing kiln that transports the products on rollers inside the kiln. This system meets our customers' needs through the use of atmosphere control for air, N₂, O₂, N₂ + H₂, and other atmospheres, as well as precision temperature control.

This continuous kiln loads the workpieces to be fired onto base plates and transports them by pushing the base plate with a pusher mechanism at the kiln entrance. NGK pusher kilns are continuous kilns that perform firing in a stable kiln temperature and atmosphere, and are widely used primarily in the electronics field and similar fields.

The Tunnel Kiln is a firing kiln that is constructed on-site and operates by transporting products on kiln cars through the furnace. It delivers labor and energy savings and can reduce the amounts of fuel used and amounts of CO₂ emitted.

The Shuttle Kiln is a batch-type firing kiln that fires products on a kiln car that is shut inside the kiln. Control of the kiln temperature and atmosphere is automated, and the optimal firing conditions can be set.

A divided transport structure allows the drying and firing times to be set individually, making it easy to measure the temperature profile. The bottom of the firing section uses a cover that opens and closes automatically, allowing fallen products and other objects to be easily removed.

The Mesh Belt Kiln is a continuous kiln that transports products using a metal or resin belt conveyor. A gas supply and exhaust system can be installed and a heat source can be selected according to the process conditions.

The Roll-to-Roll Heating System is a film furnace that is capable of combining three types of heat sources to support a wide temperature range. It also supports a maximum furnace atmosphere temperature of 600°C, low-oxygen atmospheres (100 ppm or less), and low dew-point atmospheres (dew point -50°C or below).

Drawing on NGK's wealth of calcination technologies and expertise, we've developed kiln furniture for use with various ceramics. These products find application for a wide range of heat-resistant products, including products in advanced fields such as ceramic capacitors, flat-panel displays, and ferrite.

INFRASTEIN provides heating and drying in low to mid temperature ranges, while INFRACERAM provides excellent heating in high temperature ranges. INFRAQUICK is capable of temperature rise and fall in a matter of seconds.

The far-infrared heating system for carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) is a system for heating prior to press forming of thermoplastic carbon fiber reinforced plastic. It uses our INFRASTEIN far-infrared heaters as the heat source.

The Wavelength-Control System is a new drying system that uses light (infrared light) and was developed independently by NGK. By irradiating the material with infrared radiation at specific wavelengths, it delivers low-temperature drying that was difficult to perform with conventional systems.
