NGK Introduces EnerCerLight BANGLE,
Bringing New Expressive Possibilities to Live Entertainment
Nagoya, Japan – May 22, 2026 — As live entertainment continues to evolve into more immersive and participatory experiences, NGK Corporation is expanding the role of wearable technology in fan engagement.
NGK announced the development of an LED integrated wearable powered by its proprietary lithium ion rechargeable battery EnerCera. The device was recently demonstrated in a live concert setting during a performance by the idol group SKE48 Team Ein Nagoya.
Designed for Live Performance and Fan Expression
EnerCerLight BANGLE is a semi transparent wristband that illuminates across its entire surface, creating a soft, uniform glow. With wireless control such as Bluetooth, lighting colors and patterns can be synchronized in real time, enabling coordinated visual effects across audiences during a performance.
This allows the bangle to function not just as merchandise, but as part of the live show itself, enhancing the connection between performers and audiences through shared visual moments.
At the same time, the device is designed to remain lightweight, flexible, and easy to wear, making it suitable for extended use in concert environments.

Compact Technology Enabling New Formats
At the core of the BANGLE is EnerCera, a thin and lightweight battery technology that enables electronic functionality to be embedded into compact, curved wearable forms.
The EnerCera Pouch, measuring just 0.45 mm in thickness, supports a design that maintains the natural feel of a wristband while integrating lighting functionality across the full surface. USB C recharging further enhances usability for both fans and event operators.
Live Demonstration with SKE48
The device was tested in collaboration with SKE48 Team E, involving approximately 270 attendees who wore the bangle during a live performance.
The coordinated lighting effects contributed to a unified atmosphere within the venue, while audience feedback highlighted the product’s lightweight and ease of use. Members of SKE48 Team E also noted that “it enhanced the sense of unity across the venue and made it easier to connect with the audience during the performance.”

Expanding the Role of Wearables in Entertainment
EnerCerLight BANGLE builds on NGK’s broader efforts to apply EnerCera technology to entertainment products, following developments such as the illuminated display base EnerCerLight STAGE *.
By combining compact design, wearability, and expressive lighting, NGK aims to support new forms of fan interaction and live performance experiences through technology that integrates naturally into the event environment.
